Oct. 28, 2020
Please consider sponsoring at least one flag in honor of your hero to support Wreaths Across America. The cost is only
$50 per flag sponsorship. Deadline to submit your sponsorship is October 28, 2020.
It was December 1992 in Harrington, Maine, when wreath maker Morrill Worcester found himself with a surplus of
5,000 wreaths during the holiday season. Worcester saw the surplus as an opportunity to pay tribute to our country’s
veterans and with the help of Maine Senator Olympia Snowe, arranged for the wreaths to be placed at Arlington
National Cemetery. This annual tribute to our country’s veterans has continued ever since, touching the lives of millions
of veterans’ families and volunteers and growing in scope through the years.

YOU CAN HELP! York/Adams Immunization Coalition(YAIC) is gathering information for packets to be disstributed to Health Agencies, Hospitals, ect, that care for New Mothers & Children, to educate them on the importance of Vaccinations and answer their questions. The YAIC are ordering the materials, shipping them to me, I will be puting them together in 10 bags to be put together in packets. HERE IS WHERE YOU COME IN - Rotarians will be able to pick up at 847 East Walnut St. Hanover and have a week end to pack all items in individual bags and return to that same porch. We are planning to put together 1000 packets. They will be returned to the YAIC and they will distribute them.

Apr. 27, 2021 - May 04, 2021
The York/Adams Immunication Coalition and Pa Polio Survivors Network have partnered to assemble and distribute information packets to individuals and families in York and Adams Counties. Through our connection with Deb Stambaugh, our Rotary Club has offered to assist stuffing packets. How can we help? We can help by assembling the packets and getting them ready for distribution. How will this work? Deb will bring the individual materials to be packed - approximately 10 items - to our Rotary meeting at The Markets At Hanover on Tuesday April 27, 2021 between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm. Those volunteering to assist will pick up enough materials to pack 50 bags (or 100 if you choose to do it) between 4/27/21 and 5/4/21. You would bring your completed packets back to our Rotary Meeting on 5/4/21 where Deb will collect them for distribution. Thus volunteers would have a week to assemble their 50 packets. If you can help but you cannot pick up the materials at The Markets on the 27th or drop off the compleed packets on May 5th, let Deb know and she will make other arrangements for the exchange. This process will be repeated between 5/4 and 5/11 to assemble additional packets. There will be a separate sign-up for that assembly. |
