Safe Home 101: This presentation takes an in-depth look at the services Safe Home provides to the community, reviews what a client may expect when they come to us, how community members can help those who may benefit from our services, and time for Q&A.

Lauren Souders is the Prevention Advocate at YWCA Hanover Safe Home. She has a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education and Spanish from Towson University. Prior to her position at Safe Home, she taught Spanish in Baltimore County for 9 years. Lauren has experience working with children ages Pre-K thru 12th grade in various capacities (classroom teacher, class advisor, SGA advisor, camp counselor). She also has experience creating and implementing professional developments and trainings for adults within the educational setting and through her role with Safe Home.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and playing with her dogs. She also enjoys traveling and visiting her family in Florida.

Janise Bankard is a development and marketing strategist who partners with
CEOs, executives, and entrepreneurs to grow their professional brands and
benefit local missions. Janise previously raised lifesaving funds for the Adams
County Housing Authority and the American Lung Association in Pennsylvania
before joining the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center as Development Manager.
After 11 months serving the wonderful Eichelberger Performing Arts Center,
Janise was presented with an opportunity to put her talents to work with the
YWCA Hanover in their newly created position of Director of Development.
Janise has always felt called to dedicate herself to the missions of nonprofit
organizations, and she is now working to eliminate racism, empowering women,
and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Janise truly believes
this mission can uplift the spirit and warm the soul.
